2022 Reading Goals (w/templates)

Here we are another year of book blogging. First, I can't believe I'm still blogging with motivation to keep growing and trying new things. I see a lot of my blogging friends burning out and I want to really keep an eye out for how I'm feeling to avoid this outcome. For now, I'm still excited and have a lot of plans for the upcoming year. So you can still expect 1-2 blogs per month on Wednesdays.

Like always I've refreshed the look of the blog. I do this annually to align with the overall direction that I'm headed. I'm hoping with the social media plug ins, it's easier to interact with me. I've also beefed up my reviewer instructions to help authors have a better sense of my schedule throughout the year. And, I've also added a new page for independent bookstores. I really want to spend the year adding to this list so feel free to email me bookstores that you love (reading.weekends@gmail.com).

In terms of goals, I kept my goals light. My reading goal is 52 and my stretch goal is 208. I know I will read 52, so the focus will be to read the authors' backlists that I like. Since I suck with TBRs I'm going to keep this initiative really loose. The only for sure plan I have is Murdetbot May and a year of bell hooks more info to come on both. Other goals I tentatively have are to do more cover reveals (2 to be exact) and to participate in blog tours. These two things I had fun doing last year so I want to keep doing them. The book recommendation reels and threads will be returning. Lastly, I plan to revisit tackling my TBR (next 2 blog post will be my plan). If you can't tell, 2022 is going to be CHILL!

TEMPLATES

Don't worry I didn't leave you hanging 😛. The last 2 years I've done templates and I've included 3 monthly wrap-ups and a printable review sheet.

In order to download a copy of the template click on the link and save a copy.
*If you have a Canva account you can add elements and drop in book covers. If you don't have an account you can just save the image in Photo editor or PowerPoint and then copy and paste book covers. Either way these are free to use however makes the most sense to you. If you have any problems with the links, feel free to email me and I can send you the file.

What are your 2022 reading plans? I want to hear what you are prioritizing for the new year.

  1. My 2022 is already so weird, I don't think I'm gonna do a lot of ARCs this year.

I'm probs due for a blog refresh as well!

    1. For some reason I have a lot of front loaded ARCs this year. A blog refresh to me is always helpful. I liked the layout better but this setup has so much more functionality with the plugins.
