Review Request

Dear Author/Publicist/Agent/Publisher,

I would like to first thank you for stopping by and reviewing my content. This blog is a labor of love and I try to curate the best bookish content possible. If you are interested in a book/product review please send an email with the following information:

• Author's/Company's name
• Title of book or name of the product 
• Genre or product description
• Type of request (review, social media promotion, etc.)
• Date or timeframe for preferred review posts 

**For book reviews please specify where you would like the review posted (Google books, GoodReads, Amazon, etc.) and when. If you are providing an ARC and would like the review posted before the book release date, please be aware that I need a minimum of 4-6 weeks. I have an ARC reading schedule that I try to adhere to as much as possible. Based on the year, some quarters have more ARC requests so I am only sometimes able to accept requests.

*if title(s)  release dates change, I might have some flexibility in this schedule.
**For product reviews please keep in mind I am a book blogger. Product reviews should be bookish related i.e. bookmarks, bookish accessories, etc.

My reading preferences include romance, contemporary fiction, nonfiction, mystery/suspense, and Black feminist literature. Currently, I'm only accepting Epub links so that I can read the ebook on my Kindle. PDF files sometimes do not upload great.

Please do not send a manuscript or links without a confirmation email.  

My goal is to establish a positive working relationship with anyone I collaborate with so, I strongly encourage you to review my social media content to make sure working together is a good fit. Below I have a few more tidbits for you to consider before sending me an email:

1. My reviews are honest and I try to balance what I like and don't like in my reviews. I almost always include content warnings in my reviews. If you need to have a review prescreened before posting, I will not accept the request. Please keep in mind an ARC (print or digital) or product promotion does not guarantee a positive review. My average rating is approximately 3.5.
• Don't forget under FTC ruling 2009 I have to disclose I received the book/product for free in exchange for an honest review.
2. My reviews range from 25 to 250 words anything longer is not guaranteed and should not be expected.
• Features are more in-depth posts and could have a longer word count that includes images, videos, etc.  
3. I can edit, add to, or take down reviews at any time. If you have concerns about changes to a review please feel free to email me so that we can discuss them further.
4. I reserve the right to decline a request.
5. Reviews are for the one book/product. If you would like continuous reviews please specify ahead of time. 
6. Reviews and posting via any of my social media platforms are two separate things. A review does not guarantee a post. See Feature details...
7. Lastly, keep in mind that I review in my spare time, summers (July-August) are always the busiest time for me and don't have the same flexibility as other times in the year.
