Did you know October is National Cookbook Month? If you didn't, well now you know! The last two years I've been trying to cook more because I transitioned to a plant-based diet and having cookbooks available have been truly helpful. So I thought, I would share a few of my favorite plant-based cookbooks and YouTube channels in honor of National Cookbook Month.

Cookbooks 🥣

Rachel Ama

Rachel’s recipes are quick and often one-pot; ingredients lists are short and supermarket friendly; dishes can be prepped ahead and, most importantly, she has included a song with each recipe so that you have a banging playlist to go alongside every plate of delicious food.

Hot For Food

Lauren Toyota shares her favorite recipes and creative ways to make Philly cheesesteak, fried chicken, and mac 'n' cheese, all with simple vegan ingredients. Never one to hold back, Lauren piles plates high with cheese sauce, ranch, bacon, and barbecue sauce, all while sharing personal stories and tips in her engaging and hilarious voice.

Sweet Potato Soul

Jenné explores the narratives surrounding iconic and beloved soul food recipes, as well as their innate nutritional benefits—you've heard that dandelion, mustard, and turnip greens, okra, and black eyed peas are nutrition superstars, but here's how to make them super tasty, too.

Chloe Vegan Desserts

Chloe’s Vegan Desserts, will satisfy your sweet tooth from morning to night with more than 100 recipes for cakes and cupcakes, ice cream and doughnuts and pies—oh my! And you just will not believe these delicious dishes are vegan.

*You know I had to make sure I had something for the bakers out there.

YouTube Channels 📺

Make it Dairy Free

Mouthwatering vegan recipes for everyone to enjoy. Plus taste tests and great resources for learning about living and maintaining a vegan life.  On the posts on our site, we describe how to make each recipe Top 8 Allergen Free if possible.
